St. Patricks Day
St. Patricks Day is the national holiday of Ireland, so why is it so celebrated in America? St. Patricks Day is a festival that celebrates the patron saint of Ireland, Saint Patrick. In the U.S. It is not a nationally celebrated, but is very popular. It is so popular in the states because of the huge parties, and beer fests. America takes any celebration and makes it into some huge party where everyone just foes and gets drunk and eats too much. That's not how it was founded though. It was founded as a holy day of obligation in the Roman Catholic Church in Ireland.
