MVP
Albert got the NL MVP. It is well deserved. Albert posted a batting average above .350, had over 100 RBI's, hit over 40 home runs, and struck out under 50 times. The big debate was whether Pujols or Howard deserved the award. the argument for Howard was the home runs and RBI's he had. the ting is he had a horrible average and struck out over 200 times this season. Albert is the better all around player.

Last Night
I went to see my cousin, Austin, from Hawaii last night in Saint Louis. He is touring with a band and he plays the drums. Its a band from the church he is in and Josh Morraco leads it. Austin is one of the best drummers i have ever seen or herd. He has some amazing talent and is going to go far on it.

COLD!
The is Miserable to me. I have never really enjoyed cold weather. I like wearing basketball shorts and a cut off t shirt, and if its cold outside its really hard to do that. Another thing is activities. I love to be outside and just always doing something like basketball, baseball, wiffle ball, jogging. The only weather i really like is the fall, when its about 60 degrees and beautiful outside.

The Weekend
Busy weekend for me. Friday night was pretty cool, i just chilled with my family and we watched some moves. As a side note the new Hulk is pretty awesome. Saturday i went to Quincy and just goofed around with some friends. We went to the mall made a action movie and almost got kicked out, not to proud of that. That night I played some intense tchouk ball with some friends. We played like three hours worth it was so tiring, but so fun. I have decided when my brothers and I are on a team we are pretty much unstoppable. When we were together we didn't lose. Sunday i went to church and then came home and chilled with my family and watched the Packers kill the Bears.

Technology
How has technology affected the human race as a whole? Well personally it has affected me positively and negatively. Technology is very helpful, in that i can get on the computer and find anything I need at the click of a mouse. It also helps when i have papers I need to write, and its an easy way to access friends. The down side for me personally is that I spend so much time texting that it has really cut into the amount of time I spend in my bible and with God. This isn't necessarily technologies problem, it's a problem I need to overcome.

My 1 wish
If give one wish what would i do? That is such a tough question for me. Part of me wants to be selfish and just wish to be a billionaire, but the other part of me wants to be the good guy and wish for something that would help the world. Honestly if i was only given one and had to choose right there on the spot i'd probably say the billion, but as i sit here and think of how selfish that sounds i want to say i'd wish for poverty to not be a problem. I don't know if i could do that though.

Can't live without it
My bible is the most important thing i possess. I read my bible as often as i can and every time I do something new and helpful is pointed out to me. Sometimes it helps me discover something in my own life that I'm doing wrong. For instance yesterday I was reading Joshua 6 and the sin of Achan. Achan was hiding sin from everyone and it was directly affecting those around him, and that is true in my personal life as well. I have things in my life that are concealed by the darkness I have put them in, and that is where Satan can be most affective. I realized that the sin i had hidden was killing me, and i need to get it in the light. All this came from one chapter of one book in the bible, there are 66 books. That is why I need my bible.

Change
That is the message Obama carried through his campaign. Well he will be the next president of the U.S. This is a huge step for people who are African American, and i don't think this will stop here.

Why Millions Vote
People flock to the polls and great numbers on election day. Why do people concern themselves with this? Well each person has there own beliefs and morals, and the best way to defend them is to cast your vote for the candidate that best represents you. Most people don't just go to the polls because its just so fun. In fact it can be such a bore, but the people want there voice to be heard.

America's Dependence on Foreign Oil
We need oil. The bottom line is we use oil like water in this country, but do we need it from foreign lands. Well to be honest yes we do, but we do have plenty of oil in our own country that we are not using. According to whitehouse.gov there are several ways we can expand American oil and gasoline production. By accessing the outer continental shelf, we can increase oil production. Another thing we could do would be using Oil Shale. Tapping into the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
The outer continental shelf is believed to be loaded with oil, all we need is to use that resource. Many experts believe that over 18 billion barrels of oil could be in this location. Congress however is not allowing this. Since 1980 Congress has not allowed much research in the OCS because they felt it was dangerous to the environment. However with new technology scientists can do this safely, congress just needs to approve it.
Oil shale is a type of rock that can produce oil when exposed to heat or other processes. This is a major resource that we are just not using enough of. over 800 billion barrels of recoverable oil is located in the Green River Basin of Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. This would give us a huge source of oil. New technologies are making the production of Oil Shale possible. All we need are for the democratic leaders to back it.

The Jonas brothers
Well i'm Kevin Jonas for the day. I have two brothers and all three of us together make a very close look a like to the Jonas Brothers. I'm not a huge fan of their music, but when you have three guys that so closely resemble someone else, dressing up as the Jonas Brothers was the best choice. The point of Halloween is to look like someone else.

Philles win
Game 5 is over and the Phillies came out on top. It was an interesting game 5, that spanned over 2 days long. The Pillies took game 5 with a 4-3 win over the Rays. The Rays have nothing to be disappointed, they are a young and talented team and are going to put together good teams for years to come. Cole Hamels is the MVP and he deserved it. Cole was 4-0 through the post season with a 1.88 era and 30 k's. That is an amazing job by this young lefty. Now its time to get ready for next year. my early prediction is the Cardinals, just because that my team.

tchouk ball
What is tchouk ball? That is exactly what i thought when i heard the name. I played this game last night and it was a blast. Its a combination of ultimate frisbee and soccer, with a few different aspects. Here is a website I found that kind of explains how it is played.http://www.tchoukball.org/_files/rules_beach_english.pdf. If you find a better website, please let me know. Go out and try this game, its great. Oh and a basketball court works fine for the dimensions for the game.

Suspended!
Last night game 5 of the World series was suspended due to rain. This is not good news to Phillies fans. Cole Hamels was on the mound and he has been a stud so far this post season. Hamels in 4 and 0 with a 1.55 era in the post season, and now he doesn't get to finish what he started. Tonight will be interesting to who comes out with the win.

History fo Halloween
Halloween can be dated back thousands of years to the Celts. The calander of the Celts begins on November 1 to celebrate the end of the summer and having the crops harvested. Therefore they celebrated the day before, because they thought the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred.
They called this celebration Samhain. The Celts felt that on this day before the mew year that the ghosts of the dead came back to earth. Durring this time the Druids, or celtic priests, made predictions about the future. The Celts took these predictions very seriosly and were dependent on them for the winter months.
While the festival was going of they would built a huge bonfire and sacrafice to Celtic Deities. They would where costumes of animal hide and heads.http://www.history.com/minisites/halloween

World Series
The World Series is already 2 games underway and the series is tied. The Philles took game 1 three to two, with Cole Hamels pitching almost perfect. Last night the Rays won four to two in a passionate game, with a few questionable calls. The Phillies first win was huge, the last five years the team to come out with the first win of the series has gone on to win the series. This doesn't really mean anything, but it sure is a comforting statistic for Phillie fans. Another thing huge about that first win is they got it at Tampa Bay, the Rays had the best home game record in the Majors this year, so now the Pillies have home field advantage heading back home. The Phillies have a good chance to win it at home, but i don't think they will. I think they will take the next two games then the Rays will win the next two and it will be decided in game 7. Its gonna be a good series. Check out the stats at http://mlb.mlb.com/index.jsp.

Standardized Testing
The ACT and PSAE are huge tests in America. It is important that every high school student looking to college take this test and do there best. Doing well on this test will help a person get into college, and get scholarships for college. The best way to practice or study for these test is to take sample tests and see how you do. Here is a great website with a lot of good study tips and practice tests. http://www.actstudent.org/testprep/index.html
